You are my inspiration to continue to challenge myself. I am sorry that you had to endure the product of my horrible past. I am thankful for those that helped me grow into a better person. Thank you Addie for seeing something special inside me, thanks for taking me in, and being a mother to me. Thanks Mills for being my life long friend, and being my strength in time of weakness. Excerpt from Chapter One:

~~One day, my teacher told me the principal wanted to see me after school. I couldn't figure out why he needed to see me in his office. I thought, They're going to make me school president or give me an award for something. They told me my mom was in jail. Evidently, she walked up to the third floor apartment, where her friends lived, pulled out a silver, pearl-handle gun that once belonged to my great-grandmother, and shot several times at the door. She didn't shoot anyone, and no one was hurt. But the police were called. After questioning, they found the gun where she hid it, under a brick on the roof. They first took her to jail, then to the mental ward. I'm sure my great-grandmother rolled over several times in her grave. I remember some neighbors picked me up from school that day; one of them also rode my bike home for me. They told me to gather some clothes, so I could stay with them a couple days. But the next day, Human Services made me go to a foster home instead. These nice neighbors became my Godparents a few weeks later. I'm thankful they came to help me.~~

Book Description
Karen D. Christopher is a loving wife, a devoted mother of two wonderful girls, and a real estate consultant. Karen loves to spend time in prayer, reading and studying God's word and encouraging others in their walk with the Lord. Karen can be seen teaching, giving guidance and praying for others at her church, the Love fellowship Tabernacle in Brooklyn, New York. Karen's faith and complete dependence in God has allowed her to walk through some roads over the years that have given birth to Wait on God. This is not a story. It is a guide for those who will walk in some of the same shoes I have worn. After reading this book, I know that those shoes will not feel so tight. I pray that this book encourages and enriches the lives of God's people. ...

Job 14:4 All the days of my appointed time will I wait until my change comes.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Story of Struggle and Triumph, September 5, 2007
I could not put this book down. Every chapter delves deeper into a a world of a woman looking for the meaning of true love. Here journey is tragic (her early childhood), ironic (her successfull careers that still left her empty) and to keeping her child from experience her life. I it wrapped with a chapter about lessons learned and who through the her life should found peace and understanding. I recommend this book to everyone...it is truely inspirational.

(REAL NAME)
This book was a quick read and a real page turner. I could not put it down. The authored captured the lowest and highest points of her life. Through all the hard times, she manages to turn all the negative energy from her childhood into positive energy. It clearly left her scarred, but it never stopped her from trying as hard as she could to love and succeed professionally. To overcome that childhood experience and manage to keep her head up is truly inspirational to anyone whether or not they're going through life's trials and tribulations. This short story is an excellent read!
